If you haven’t heard of Jerry Rekonius before, give this song two minutes and I promise you‘ll be determined to know!
2012 appears destined to be a breakout year for the 22 year old Swede whose first single of the year dropped on Oxygen Recordings, “10th,” has already received raving endorsements from the likes of Dada Life, Tiesto, Fedde Le Grand, Laidback Luke, David Guetta and Sonny Wharton, to name a few.
“10th” itself is a simple, yet disgustingly dance-worthy progressive house banger destined to light up massive crowds for festivals to come. It’s hard not to get caught up in the uplifting, melodic synths during the buildup before your blindsided by the filthy, fist-pump inducing bassline. Rekonius effectively contrasts these two moods to create a beautiful mess that’s sure to have you raging happily.
Rekonius, while not famous yet, is no newcomer to the game. Just this past year he dropped a number of worthy realeases such as “Bronze”, “Powahbunga”, and his remix of Mikael Weermets ft Max C – “Let It Go” (also supported på Tiesto in his Club Life 250) that are helping propel Jerry Rekonius into a household name.
HMOD Rating: 8 – Game Changer!
